IOH (Northwest)

At IOH, patients and family members receive a number of services to make their stay more convenient. Our hospital is open to visitors from 9 am to 9 pm, with Free valet parking available and free parking on all sides of the building. Visitors can visit our full service café offering a delicious variety of nutritional food choices including a daily grill menu, sandwich bar, salad bar and snack food choices. If family members would like to dine with you in your room, guest trays may be paid for my vouchers that may be purchased in the café in advance. On the weekends, family members of inpatients may make arrangements with the hospital food service staff for a free meal. Vending machines are also available, as well as a gift shop located inside the café.
Café Information

The main waiting room at the hospital entrance provides comfortable seating for television viewing and a view of the outdoors. All areas in the hospital are WIFI, computer accessible for your convenience. Complimentary coffee is available in the main waiting room. There are additional seating areas on the second floor, adjacent to a hallway where family can stretch their legs for a walk. The elevator is conveniently located nearby as well.

Your family and friends will be provided a pager at the front desk that will alert them for any updates or when your surgery is over. When the pager sounds, family should check in at the front desk where they will be escorted to a private consultation room to review the surgical findings with your surgeon.

The pager transmits throughout the hospital, café, waiting rooms and clinic areas next door, allowing family to move about while you are in surgery.

If family leaves the premises while you are still in the operating area, they are asked to inform the front desk. Since family members are not allowed in the recovery room area, they will be paged again when you are transferred to the outpatient recovery area or, for inpatients, when you are settled into your hospital room.

If you are in a single room, one family member or close friend may spend the night in your room. However, if you are sharing a room with another patient, no overnight visitors are allowed.
