Physical Therapy
The IOH Outpatient Physical Therapy department specializes in treating bone, joint, spine and muscle conditions.
Outpatient Physical Therapy
Our care is patient focused and individualized to meet the needs and goals of each patient, enabling individuals to return to more active lifestyles quicker and in most cases, without pain. We exceed national averages for treatment of knee and shoulder condi¬tions, based on the LIFEware Outpatient Outcomes Tracking System.
Occupational Therapy
Hand and upper extremity occupational therapy by a certified hand therapist is offered at the Northwest, South and West locations. We also offer Functional Capacity Evaluations by occupational therapist at our South location only.
Our state-of-the-art facilities will provide you the necessary equipment and expertise to get you back to health.
Scheduling an Appointment
To receive physical/occupational therapy, individuals must have a referral from a physician, written within the last 30 days. A receptionist will schedule your first initial visit with a physical therapist, where all aspects of your injury will be evaluated. At the end of your first visit, your physical thera¬pist will initiate a treatment and home exercise program specific to your injury/surgery. Please remember: you must bring your prescription to your initial visit. Any necessary follow-up visits will be scheduled after your initial therapy evaluation.
Although our front desk will call to verify your insurance benefits, it is each patient’s responsibility to know their spe¬cific insurance plan and allowed benefits to receive physical/ occupational therapy.
